Senecio radicans - 14cm
The botanical name of this succulent plant is Senecio radicans. The plant is known as 'String of Bananas' because its leaves are very similar to bananas. The Senecio radicans is green with stems and a pendulous growth habit. You will get a plant of pot size 14 cm, with a total height of pot and plant of about 50-60 cm (hanging). The care of Senecio radicans is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is a good substrate. Senecio radicans does not tolerate waterlogging, so make sure that the water drains off well and allow the substrate to dry before watering again. In general, this succulent plant tolerates too little water rather than too much. You can fertilize once a month, i.e. every four weeks. The light requirements of this succulent plant are met in a sunny and bright location. The brighter the location, the more pronounced and strong the colours. The optimum temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Senecio radicans can spend the summer outdoors after gradually acclimatising them to direct sunlight. In winter the temperature should be around 10°C. In addition, no more fertiliser is used and watering is reduced. However, this succulent plant is not suitable for the garden. A note: sizes and shapes can vary for plants where each piece is unique. This is especially true in winter or when availability is low. The colouring also varies according to the season.
