Care instructions for your Aeonium
Care instructions for your Aeonium
Succulents store water in their leaves and therefore tolerate drought well. Place them in a bright, sunny spot and only water them when the soil is completely dry. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!
It's better to water a little too little than too much.

I am Aeonium arboreum Velours
Let's move on to the care of the Aeonium arboreum 'Velours'. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil and mineral components is suitable as a substrate. Aeonium arboreum 'Velours' does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing is possible every three to four weeks.
This succulent's light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Aeonium arboreum 'Velours' can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sun. However, it should be brought back indoors at temperatures below 15°C. In winter, the temperature should be around 15°C. Furthermore, fertilizing stops and watering is reduced.
This succulent is best propagated by stem cuttings. In arrangements, it combines best with other succulents, such as Echeverias and Crassulas. Aeonium arboreum 'Velours' is generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee its suitability for animals.
Please note: Sizes and shapes may vary for plants, as each item is unique. This is especially true in winter or when availability is low. The color also varies depending on the season.
