The botanical name of this succulent plant is Senecio peregrinus. The plant is known as 'String of dolphins' because its leaves are very reminiscent of dolphins. The Senecio peregrinus is green with stems and a hanging growth habit. You will get a plant of pot size 14 cm, with a total height of pot and plant of about 50-60 cm (hanging). The care of Senecio peregrinus is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is a good substrate. The Senecio peregrinus does not tolerate stagnant moisture, so make sure that the water runs off well and let the substrate dry before watering again. In general, this succulent plant tolerates too little water rather than too much. You can fertilize once a month, i.e. every four weeks. The light requirements of this succulent plant are met in a sunny and bright location. The brighter the location, the more pronounced and strong the colours. The optimum temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. The Senecio peregrinus can spend the summer outdoors, after having gradually acclimatised to direct sunlight. In winter the temperature should be around 10°C. In addition, no more fertiliser is used and watering is reduced. However, this succulent plant is not suitable for the garden. Note: Size and shape may vary, because each succulent is one of a kind. This is especially true in winter or at low availability. The coloration also differs depending on the season.
