Echeveria cuspidata var. gemmula

The botanical name of this succulent is *Echeveria cuspidata* var. *gemmula*. It is known in German as *Echeverie*. The succulent belongs to the genus *Echeveria*, which is part of the Crassulaceae family. This succulent is native to Mexico.

E. cuspidata var. gemmula is mint green with red tips and has a rosette-shaped growth habit. The flower is yellow to red and bell-shaped. It develops during the flowering period from May to July. You will receive a plant in a 8.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of about 10cm. The maximum height it can reach is 15cm.
Caring for Echeveria minima is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. E. cuspidata var. gemmula does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent's light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. E. cuspidata var. gemmula can spend the summer outdoors after gradually acclimating it to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. E. cuspidata var. gemmula can be poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
