Care instructions for your Echeveria

Succulents store water in their leaves and therefore tolerate drought well. Place them in a bright, sunny spot and only water when the soil is completely dry. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!

It's better to water a little too little than too much.

I am Echeveria Mexican Giant

The botanical name of this succulent is Echeveria 'Mexican Giant'. The synonyms Echeveria colorata 'Mexican Giant' or Echeveria colorata forma brandtii are also frequently used. In German, it is known as Echeverie. The succulent belongs to the genus Echeveria, which is classified in the Crassulaceae family. It is native to Mexico.

Echeveria 'Mexican Giant' is silvery, white, sometimes pink or purple, with a rosette-shaped growth habit. The bloom is salmon to orange or yellow. It forms during the flowering period in summer. You will receive a plant in a 9cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of about 15cm. The maximum height it can reach is 40cm.
Caring for the Echeveria 'Mexican Giant' is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. The Echeveria 'Mexican Giant' does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent's light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Echeveria 'Mexican Giant' can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria 'Mexican Giant' can be poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
