Echeveria pulvinata Frosty f. cristata

The botanical name of this succulent is Echeveria pulvinata 'Frosty' cristata. Cotyledon pulvinata or Echeveria 'Frosty' are also frequently used as synonyms. In German, it is known as Echeverie. The succulent belongs to the genus Echeveria, which is classified in the Crassulaceae family.

It is a hybrid. Echeveria pulvinata 'Frosty' cristata is green to bluish with a crested growth form. You will receive a plant in a 5.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of about 10cm. The achievable growth height is 10cm to 20cm.
Caring for the Echeveria pulvinata 'Frosty' cristata is relatively simple. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria pulvinata 'Frosty' cristata does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent's light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Echeveria pulvinata 'Frosty' cristata can spend the summer outdoors after gradually acclimating it to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria pulvinata 'Frosty' cristata can be poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
