Care instructions for your Aloe

Succulents store water in their leaves and therefore tolerate drought well. Place them in a bright, sunny spot and only water when the soil is completely dry. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!

It's better to water a little too little than too much.

I am Variegated Aloe

The botanical name of this succulent is *Aloe variegata*. Synonyms often used include *Aloe ausana*, *Aloe punctata*, or *Aloe variegata var. Haworthii*. In German, it is known as Tiger Aloe. The succulent belongs to the genus *Aloe*, which is classified in the family Asphodeloideae. This succulent is native to the South African provinces of Northern Cape, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Free State, as well as Namibia and Botswana.

Aloe variegata is green and has a rosette growth form. The flower is pink, tubular and arranged in clusters. It develops during the flowering period from June to August. You will receive a plant in a pot size of 8.5cm, with a total height of pot and plant of about 18cm. The achievable growth height is 20cm to 25cm.
Caring for the Aloe variegata is relatively simple. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. The Aloe variegata does not tolerate waterlogging, so good drainage should be ensured and the substrate should be allowed to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates less water rather than too much. Fertilizing is possible every three to four weeks.
This succulent needs a bright to semi-shaded location. This means an east or west window, but even a north window is best suited. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Aloe variegata can spend the summer outdoors after gradually acclimating it to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 15°C. Furthermore, fertilizing is stopped and watering is reduced. However, the plant is not suitable for the garden.
The leaf bark of the Aloe variegata contains a poisonous sap, and we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
