Care instructions for your Crassula

Succulents store water in their leaves and therefore tolerate drought well. Place them in a bright, sunny spot and only water them when the soil is completely dry. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!

It's better to water a little too little than too much.

I am Crassula Money Maker

The botanical name of this succulent is *Crassula ovata* 'Money Maker'. In German, it is known as *Geldbaum* (money tree) or *Pfennigbaum* (penny tree). The succulent belongs to the genus *Crassula*, which is part of the Crassulaceae family.

This succulent is native to South Africa and is a hybrid. Crassula ovata 'Money Maker' is green with a bushy growth habit. The flowers are light yellow to white and star-shaped. They bloom between February and April. You will receive a plant in a 6cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 14cm. The plant can grow to a height of 25cm to 35cm.
Caring for the Crassula ovata 'Money Maker' is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. The Crassula ovata 'Money Maker' does not tolerate waterlogging, so good drainage should be ensured and the substrate should be allowed to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, i.e., every four weeks.
This succulent needs a sunny to bright location to meet its light requirements. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Crassula ovata 'Money Maker' can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 15°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. Crassula ovata 'Money Maker' is generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
