Succulents store water in their leaves and therefore tolerate drought well. Place them in a bright, sunny spot and only water them when the soil is completely dry. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!
It's better to water a little too little than too much.

The botanical name of this succulent is Crassula rupestris subsp. marnieriana 'Hottentot'. In German, it is known as Felsen-Dickblatt. This succulent belongs to the plant genus Crassula, which is assigned to the Crassulaceae family.
This succulent is native to South Africa. Crassula rupestris subsp. marnieriana 'Hottentot' is green and red with a hanging growth habit. The flowers are white and arranged in dense umbels. They form during the flowering period from August to October. You will receive a plant in a 12cm pot, with a total height of approximately 15cm including the pot and plant. The achievable growth height is 15cm to 25cm (hanging).
Caring for Crassula rupestris subsp. marnieriana 'Hottentot' is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Crassula rupestris subsp. marnieriana 'Hottentot' does not tolerate waterlogging, so ensure good drainage and let the substrate dry out before watering again. In general, this succulent prefers too little water rather than too much. You can fertilize once a month, i.e., every four weeks.
The light requirements of this succulent are met in a sunny to bright location. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Crassula rupestris subsp. marnieriana 'Hottentot' can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually accustomed to direct sun. In winter, the temperature should be around 15°C. Fertilizing is also stopped, and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
Propagation of this succulent is possible through partial and head cuttings. Crassula rupestris subsp. marnieriana 'Hottentot' is generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
A note: Sizes and shapes may vary for plants where each piece is unique. This is especially true in winter or when availability is low. The coloration also varies depending on the season.
