Aeonium decorum Sunburst

The botanical name of this succulent is Aeonium decorum 'Starburst'. This succulent belongs to the genus Aeonium, which is part of the Crassulaceae family. This succulent is native to the Canary Islands.

Aeonium decorum 'Sunburst' is green and yellow and has a rosette growth form. The flower is white. It forms during the flowering period in summer. You will receive a plant in a 5.5cm pot, with a height of approx. 7cm including the pot. The maximum height it can reach is 50cm.
Let's move on to the care of the Aeonium decorum 'Sunburst'. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil and mineral components is suitable as a substrate. Aeonium decorum 'Sunburst' does not tolerate waterlogging, so good drainage should be ensured and the substrate should be allowed to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates less water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done every two to three weeks.
This succulent's light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Aeonium decorum 'Sunburst' can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. However, it should be brought back indoors at temperatures below 15°C. In winter, the temperature should be around 15°C. Fertilizing is stopped, and watering is reduced. However, the plant is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. In arrangements, it is best combined with other succulents, such as Echeverias and Crassulas. Aeonium decorum 'Sunburst' is generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee its suitability for animals.
