Our lava granulate comes from volcanic mining regions and is a 100% natural, mineral substrate. The open-pored structure stores moisture and nutrients and drains excess water immediately – happy plants without waterlogging. Ideal as a pure planting medium or as an additive for succulent, bonsai, and cactus soils.

Recommended use

• As a substrate only: Fill planter to 2 cm below the rim, insert plant.
• As a drainage layer: 1–2 cm of lava at the bottom of the pot, then soil on top.
• For loosening: Mix 20–30% lava into conventional potting soil.
