Your new succulent roommate 🌿
Hei, I am Aloe aristata
The botanical name of this succulent is Aloe aristata, commonly known simply as Aloe. It belongs to the Aloe genus, which is part of the Asphodeloideae family. This beautiful species is native to southern Africa, especially Lesotho.
Aloe aristata has a fresh green color and grows in a compact rosette shape. You will receive a plant in a 5.5 cm pot, with a total height (including the pot) of about 14 cm. Mature plants typically reach a height of 15–20 cm.
Caring for Aloe aristata is quite simple, making it perfect even for beginners. A well-draining cactus and succulent mix works best as soil. Since Aloe aristata does not tolerate standing water, always ensure good drainage and let the soil dry out slightly between waterings. In general, it’s safer to give this plant too little water than too much. Fertilize lightly every three to four weeks during the growing season.
This succulent prefers a bright to partially shaded spot with temperatures between 20–30 °C (68–86 °F). In summer, Aloe aristata can be placed outdoors once gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. During winter, keep it at around 15 °C (59 °F), stop fertilizing, and reduce watering. Please note: it is not suitable for planting directly in the garden.
The sap inside the leaves of Aloe aristata can be toxic. We cannot guarantee that this plant is safe for pets.
