The botanical name of this succulent is *Euphorbia trigona rubra*. In German, it is known as Medusa-Wolfsmilch (Medusa spurge). The succulent belongs to the genus *Euphorbia*, which is part of the spurge family (Euphorbiaceae). This succulent is native to South Africa, Lesotho, and Swaziland.

Euphorbia trigona rubra is green to red. You will receive a plant in a 13cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 30cm. Caring for Euphorbia trigona rubra is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Euphorbia trigona rubra does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing is necessary about once every three to four weeks.
This succulent needs a sunny to bright location to meet its light requirements. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Euphorbia trigona rubra can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by stem cuttings. Euphorbia trigona rubra contains a poisonous sap that can also cause a rash in humans.
