Care instructions for your Aloe

Succulents store water in their leaves and therefore tolerate drought well. Place them in a bright, sunny spot and only water them when the soil is completely dry. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!

It's better to water a little too little than too much.

I am Aloe humilis

The botanical name of this succulent is *Aloe humilis*. Synonyms frequently used include *Aloe perfoliata* var. *humilis*, *Aloe echinata*, *Aloe incurva*, *Aloe macilenta*, *Aloe suberecta*, *Aloe subtuberculata*, *Aloe tuberculata*, *Aloe verrucosospinosa*, *Aloe virens*, *Catevala humilis*, or *Haworthia ferox*. In German, it is known as the low aloe. The succulent belongs to the genus *Aloe*, which is classified in the family Asphodelaceae. This succulent is native to South Africa.

Aloe humilis is green and grows in a rosette shape. The flower is pink and tubular, forming during the flowering period from March to June. You will receive a plant in a 6cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 15cm. The plant can reach a height of 15cm to 20cm. Caring for Aloe humilis is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Aloe humilis does not tolerate waterlogging, so ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates less water rather than too much. Fertilizing is necessary every three to four weeks.
This succulent needs a bright to semi-shaded location. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Aloe humilis can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 15°C. Fertilizing is stopped, and watering is reduced. However, the plant is not suitable for the garden.
The leaf bark of Aloe humilis is poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
