The botanical name of this succulent is Echeveria 'Orion'. It is known as Echeverie in German. The succulent belongs to the genus Echeveria, which is classified in the Crassulaceae family. It is a hybrid of Echeveria lilacina and Echeveria pulidonis.
Echeveria 'Orion' is purple, pink to red with a rosette-shaped growth habit. The flower is pink to rose and tubular. It blooms year-round. You will receive a plant in an 8.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 10cm. The maximum height it can reach is 15cm.
Caring for the Echeveria 'Orion' is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria 'Orion' does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent's light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Echeveria 'Orion' can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria 'Orion' is not poisonous, but we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
