The botanical name of this succulent is Echeveria `Galaxy Pluto´. It is commonly known as Echeveria. This succulent belongs to the plant genus Echeveria, which is part of the stonecrop family (Crassulaceae).
It is a hybrid from the Galaxy series by B. Goody (UK). Echeveria `Galaxy Pluto´ is green and red with a rosette-shaped growth habit. The flower is pink, bell-shaped, and arranged high above the rosette. It blooms during the flowering period from February to May. You will receive a plant in a 10.5cm pot, with a total height of approximately 8cm including the pot and plant. The achievable growth height is between 10cm and 25cm.
Caring for Echeveria `Galaxy Pluto´ is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria `Galaxy Pluto´ does not tolerate waterlogging, so ensure good drainage and let the substrate dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water better than too much. You can fertilize once a month, i.e., every four weeks.
This succulent's light requirements are met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best suited. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Echeveria `Galaxy Pluto´ can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sun. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Additionally, fertilizing should stop and watering should be reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
Propagation of this succulent is possible through leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria `Galaxy Pluto´ is generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
