Adromischus cristatus

The botanical name of this succulent is *Adromischus cristatus*. The synonym *Cotyledon cristata* is also frequently used. In German, it is known as *Knitterblattpflanze* (wrinkled leaf plant). The succulent belongs to the genus *Adromischus*, which is part of the Crassulaceae family. This succulent is native to South Africa.

Adromischus cristatus is green. The flower is white to green, tubular and arranged in clusters. You will receive a plant in a 5.5cm pot, with a height of about 6cm. The maximum height it can reach is 10cm to 15cm.
Let's move on to the care of the Adromischus cristatus. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. The Adromischus cristatus does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, i.e., every four weeks.
This succulent's light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Adromischus cristatus can spend the summer outdoors after gradually acclimating it to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilizing stops and watering is reduced. However, the plant is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, as well as leaf and stem cuttings. In arrangements, it is best combined with other succulent plants, such as Echeverias and Crassulas. Adromischus cristatus is generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee its suitability for animals.

Please note: Sizes and shapes may vary for plants, as each item is unique. This is especially true in winter or when availability is low. The color also varies depending on the season.
