Euphorbia susannae

The botanical name of this succulent is *Euphorbia susannae*. The synonym *Euphorbia suzannae* is also frequently used. In German, it is known as Wolfsmilch (meaning "wolf's milk"). The succulent belongs to the genus *Euphorbia*, which is classified in the family Euphorbiaceae (spurge family). This succulent is native to South Africa.

Euphorbia susannae is green. The flower differs depending on whether it is a female or a male specimen. It forms during the flowering period from May to October. You will receive a plant in a 5.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of about 10cm. The maximum height it can reach is 20cm.
Caring for Euphorbia susannae is relatively simple. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Euphorbia susannae does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing is necessary about once every three to four weeks.
This succulent needs a sunny to bright location to meet its light requirements. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Euphorbia susannae can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by stem cuttings. Euphorbia susannae contains a poisonous sap that can also cause a rash in humans.
