Care instructions for your Kalanchoe

Succulents store water in their leaves and therefore tolerate drought well. Place them in a bright, sunny spot and only water when the soil is completely dry. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!

I am Kalanchoe beharensis Fang

The botanical name of this succulent is Kalanchoe beharensis 'Fang'. It is known in German as the "Elefantenohr-Kalanchoe" (elephant ear Kalanchoe). The succulent belongs to the genus Kalanchoe, which is classified in the Crassulaceae family. This succulent is native to Madagascar.

Kalanchoe beharensis is green and brown. The flower is light green, radial, and arranged in panicles. It develops during the flowering period from February to April. You will receive a plant in a 10.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 25cm. The achievable growth height is 80cm to 120cm.
Caring for Kalanchoe beharensis is relatively simple. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Kalanchoe beharensis does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing is necessary once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent needs a sunny, bright to semi-shaded location to meet its light requirements. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Kalanchoe beharensis can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 15°C. Furthermore, fertilizing is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden. This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. Kalanchoe beharensis can be poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
