Adenium obesum is evergreen with a stem-succulent caudex growth habit. The flower is white, pink, or red and pentamerous. It forms during the flowering period in spring and summer, after the dry season. You will receive a plant in a 6cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 16cm. The achievable height is 100cm to 300cm.
Caring for Adenium obesum is relatively easy. A mix of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Adenium obesum does not tolerate waterlogging, so ensure good drainage and let the substrate dry out before watering again. In general, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilize once a month, i.e., every four weeks.
The light requirements of this succulent are met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best suited. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Adenium obesum can spend the summer outdoors after gradually acclimatizing it to direct sun. In winter, the temperature should be around 15°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped, and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
Propagation of this succulent is possible through seeds, but also through stem cuttings. Adenium obesum has a poisonous sap; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
A note: Sizes and shapes may vary for plants, where each piece is unique. This applies particularly in winter or when availability is low. The coloring also varies depending on the season.
