Adromischus cooperi - 12cm

The botanical name of this succulent is Adromischus cooperi. Synonyms often used include Adromischus cuneatus, Adromischus festivus, Adromischus halesowensis, Adromischus pachylophus, or Cotyledon cooperi. In English, it is commonly known as Kiekie-egg-shortstem.

This succulent belongs to the plant genus Adromischus, which is part of the stonecrop family (Crassulaceae). This succulent is native to South Africa, particularly Lesotho and Eswatini.
Adromischus cooperi is evergreen and grows as a perennial. The flower is salmon-red, tubular, and arranged in clusters. It blooms during the flowering period from June to August. You will receive a plant in a 12cm pot, with a height of about 6cm including the pot. The attainable growth height is 8cm to 10cm.
Now, let's talk about the care of Adromischus cooperi. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Adromischus cooperi does not tolerate waterlogging, so ensure good drainage and let the substrate dry out before watering again. In general, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. You can fertilize once a month, every four weeks.
This succulent's light requirements are met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Adromischus cooperi can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually accustomed to direct sun. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Fertilizing should also be stopped and watering reduced. However, the plant is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, as well as leaf and stem cuttings. In arrangements, it combines best with other crassulaceae, such as Echeverias and Crassulas. Adromischus cooperi is generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
