The botanical name of this succulent is Echeveria gibbiflora var. 'Metallica'. Echeveria grandis or Echeveria metallica are often used as synonyms. In English, it is known simply as Echeveria.

The succulent belongs to the plant genus Echeveria, which is assigned to the stonecrop family (Crassulaceae). This succulent is native to Mexico and Guatemala, as it is a natural hybrid of Echeveria gibbiflora.
Echeveria gibbiflora var. 'Metallica' is purple and green with a rosette shape. The flower is red and orange and bell-shaped. It forms during the flowering period from February to May. You will receive a plant in a 9cm pot, with a total height of approximately 12cm including the pot and plant. The achievable growth height is 8cm to 10cm.
Caring for Echeveria gibbiflora var. 'Metallica' is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria gibbiflora var. 'Metallica' does not tolerate waterlogging, so ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. You can fertilize once a month, i.e., every four weeks.
The light requirements of this succulent are met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best suited. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Echeveria gibbiflora var. 'Metallica' can spend the summer outdoors after gradually acclimatizing it to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilizing is stopped, and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
Propagation of this succulent is possible through seeds, but also leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria gibbiflora var. 'Metallica' can be slightly toxic, and we cannot guarantee compatibility with animals.

A note: Sizes, shapes, and age can vary in plants where each piece is unique. This is especially true in winter or when availability is low. The coloring also varies depending on the season.
