Care instructions for your Echeveria

Succulents store water in their leaves and therefore tolerate drought well. Place them in a bright, sunny spot and only water them when the soil is completely dry. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!

It's better to water a little too little than too much.

I am Echeveria purpusorum Dionysus

The botanical name of this succulent is *Echeveria purpusorum* 'Dionysos'. Synonyms often used include *Urbinia purpusii*, *Echeveria purpusii*, or *Dudleya purpusii*. In German, it is known as Echeverie. The succulent belongs to the genus *Echeveria*, which is classified in the family Crassulaceae. It is an *Echeveria purpusorum* hybrid and has wider and thicker leaves than its parent plant. This succulent is native to Mexico.

Echeveria purpusorum is green and purple with a rosette-shaped growth habit. The flower is pink with orange tips and tubular. It forms during the flowering period from April to June. You will receive a plant in a 6cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of about 8cm. The achievable growth height is 10cm to 15cm.
Caring for Echeveria purpusorum is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria purpusorum does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, i.e., every four weeks.
This succulent's light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Echeveria purpusorum can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sun. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilizing is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria purpusorum is generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
Please note: Sizes and shapes may vary for plants, as each item is unique. This is especially true in winter or when availability is low. The color also varies depending on the season.
