The botanical name of this succulent is *Euphorbia mammillaris* f. *variegata*. The synonym *Euphorbia mammillaris* var. *variegata* is also frequently used. In German, it is known as *Wolfsmilch* (spurge). The succulent belongs to the genus *Euphorbia*, which is classified in the family Euphorbiaceae. It is a hybrid.

Euphorbia mammillaris f. variegata is green. The bloom is light green and arranged in branches. It forms during the flowering period from December to January. You will receive a plant in an 8.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of about 10cm. The achievable growth height is 20cm to 35cm. Caring for Euphorbia mammillaris f. variegata is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate.
Euphorbia mammillaris f. variegata does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates less water rather than too much. Fertilizing is sufficient approximately every three to four weeks.
This succulent needs a sunny to bright location to meet its light requirements. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Euphorbia mammillaris f. variegata can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by head cuttings. Euphorbia mammillaris f. variegata contains a poisonous sap that can also cause a rash in humans.
