Care instructions for your Crassula

Succulents store water in their leaves and therefore tolerate drought well. Place them in a bright, sunny spot and only water when the soil is completely dry. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!

I am Crassula deceptor

The botanical name of this succulent is *Crassula deceptor*. Synonyms often used are *Crassula deltoidea* or *Crassula deceptrix*. The succulent belongs to the genus *Crassula*, which is part of the Crassulaceae family. It is native to South Africa and Namibia.

Crassula deceptor is green, silver to grey with a compact, dwarf growth habit. The flower is cream to yellow and tubular. It blooms throughout the year. You will receive a plant in an 8.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 10cm. The maximum height it can reach is 6cm.
Caring for Crassula deceptor is relatively simple. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Crassula deceptor does not tolerate waterlogging, so good drainage should be ensured and the substrate should be allowed to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent's light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20°C and 30°C. Crassula deceptor can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 15°C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by stem cuttings. Crassula deceptor is generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee its suitability for animals.

Please note: Sizes and shapes may vary for plants, as each item is unique. This is especially true in winter or when availability is low. The color also varies depending on the season.
