Pachypodium
The succulent belongs to the subfamily of the Apocynoideae and can be assigned to the family of the dog poison plants (Apocynaceae). It is also called elephants trunk or Madagascar palm, because the plant, which is native to Madagascar, has about 16 species and looks like a palm tree.
The flowers are relatively large and pink to white or yellow.

A bright, but not sunny location should be chosen.
As substrate a mixture of cactus and succulent soil and mineral parts is suitable.
Watering should be generous, but stagnant moisture should be avoided at all costs, which is why the excess water should drain off well.
You can fertilize about once a month, i.e. about every four weeks.
In summer, the succulents can be placed outside after they have gradually become acclimatized to direct sunlight. However, you should bring them back into the house at temperatures below 15°C.
Pachyphytum should be kept inside during the winter, fertilizer is not used, the amount of water is adjusted accordingly.
